Torres - Cavani or Obameyang - who will be the new Barcelona striker?
The management of Barcelona is working on the transfers of three new strikers, but as of today no one seems to be a newcomer to the Catalans. According to the information in the last two days, the Spaniards are negotiating hard with Manchester City for Ferran Torres, but at the moment the two clubs are at odds. The Catalans are ready to pay 50 million euros for the former Valencia player, but Man City insists on receiving 60 million.
At the same time, the Camp Nou have offered a contract to Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani. The offer for the 34-year-old Uruguayan is for a contract for 18 months. For the first six months, he would receive a salary of 3.5 million euros plus one million in bonuses. Next season, his salary will be 4 million plus 1.5 million as supplements. It is said that Cavani himself accepted these conditions and it all depends on Manchester United. However, according to the English media, the "red devils" do not intend to part with Cavani in the middle of the season and insist that he fulfill his contract by the summer. In addition, Old Trafford are likely to part ways with Anthony Martial in the winter, so they do not want to further limit their options in attack.
The third option is already former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Obameyang. The "gunners" are ready to part with the Gabonese now, after he was removed from the squad after another violation of the disciplinary rules. The big problem for Barcelona, however, remains the player's high salary. He currently receives £ 350,000 a week, so he has to agree to a serious pay cut to make this transfer possible.
