Westbrook I'm ready for the challenge with the LA Clippers

American Russell Westbrook is looking forward to a new challenge in his career with the Los Angeles Clippers in the National Basketball Association (NBA) after his transfer to the team was officially confirmed.

The nine-time participant in the NBA All-Star Game has no doubt that he still has something to offer, writes the Reuters agency.

Westbrook, the 2017 NBA MVP, said: “I try to find my way to help my teammates as much as I can. I'm ready for the challenge and can't wait to get started with the team. The most important thing is to keep a high pace and I think I will adapt very quickly."

Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said he won't ask Russell Westbrook to change his game to fit into the lineup. "We will comment on his game, but we want him to be the basketball player he is and show it in every game. We will try to make him useful for the team," commented Lu.
