Austin Matthews Toronto beat Nashville

Mitch Marner scored   when his team was  man up for 1:15 left and the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Nashville Predators 2-1 in an NHL regular-season game.

John Tavares finished with a goal and an assist for the Canadiens, who were without injured star Austin Matthews. William Newlander added two assists and Matt Murray made 32 saves. Filip Forsberg scored for Nashville and Youssi Saros made 33 saves.

Klim Kostin scored twice and Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each had a goal and an assist in the Edmonton Oilers' 6-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Dylan Holloway and Leon Draisaitel were also accurate in the win, and Jack Campbell made 21 saves. Sam Carrick and Simon Benoit scored for the Ducks, and John Gibson made 31 saves.

Quinton Byfield finished with a goal and an assist, and Gabe Vilardi and Drew Dufty scored in the final period to give the Los Angeles Kings a 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks. Adrian Kemp was also on target and the Kings improved to 10-2-1 in their last 13 games. Timo Meyer finished with a goal and an assist for the Sharks, while Alexander Barabanov and Nick Bonino scored the other goals.
