Worrying news about Milan Skriniar's condition
Inter Milan defender Skriniar has dropped out of the Slovakia coach's plans for the upcoming European qualifiers with Luxembourg and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 28-year-old defender has missed Inter's last 5 matches due to back pain, but has nevertheless accepted a call-up from Francesco Caissona.
However, after he was examined by the doctors of the national team, it became clear that his condition is not good at all and he cannot take part in the matches in question. "Skriniar contacted me about a month ago saying he had back pain. In Milan he started physiotherapy and medical care, but it didn't help.
He had an MRI which showed that he had an intervertebral disc injury. He continued with physical therapy, but his condition worsened. Right now he feels pain even at rest. He is not in condition to help us for the upcoming matches", announced the doctor of the national team of Slovakia.
Interestingly, until now Inter had not mentioned anything about the player having damage to the intervertebral disc, but claimed that he was in pain due to compression of the sciatic nerve. However, it turns out that his condition is quite serious and at this stage it is not clear when he will be able to return to the field.
