Seedorf: Guardiola's style is not the only way to win

Former Netherlands international Clarence Seedorf has shared his expectations for tonight's Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan. He is of the opinion that the "citizens" are in the role of favorites, but he does not think that the style of play, professed by Josep Guardiola, is a guarantee of success.

"Guardiola has his own style, but he hasn't won the Champions League in recent years. I don't judge Pep's work by results alone. I have great respect for him. But there are different styles of play. Klopp's style is different from Ancelotti's. Ancelotti's understanding of football is different from Guardiola's. Del Bosque and Zidane opted for a style that had nothing to do with Pep's ideas, but they won the tournament, and more than once. That's why we have to appreciate Guardiola and everything he does," said Seedorf.

"Pep is certainly one of the best coaches in the world. The way his players play is fantastic. But that's not the only way to victory," added the former Ajax, Sampdoria, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Botafogo midfielder.
