Guardiola called on fans to get vaccinated and wear masks

Guardiola called on fans

Manchester City manager Joseph Guardiola has called on English football fans to get vaccinated and wear masks in stadiums to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Britain recorded another 122,000 positive tests on Friday, but football clubs   are ready to play in front of fans.

"Honestly, I don't want to play in front of empty stands again, but COVID-19 infections are on the rise around the world, not just in the UK. These people go to stadiums and can spread the virus to large groups," Guradiola was quoted as saying .

"The fans don't wear masks in the stadiums and that's surprising to me. They have to get vaccinated, get boosters, follow social distancing measures and wear masks. I trust the medics because they know more than I do. If they are adamant that the vaccine saves lives, so it is important. "

City of Guardiola is in first place with 44 points and three more than Liverpool. The champions  have derby today with Leicester City.
