Juventus want to cut Rugani's salary

Juventus management plan to offer defender Daniele Rugani a new contract, but with a lower salary than the one he is currently receiving, reports TMW. The 29-year-old has been with the Old Lady for eight years and is one of the most experienced players in the squad.

The two sides have been in talks about a potential renewal and the general desire is to have the agreement concluded by the end of December. Juventus are hoping to reduce Rugani's basic salary from the current figure of €3.5m to an estimated €2.5m, but this will be offset by a series of performance-related bonuses.
